There are some restrictions that we face in life that are very hard to live with… and one of those is pain!
Lower back pain is debilitating, uncomfortable and often times totally unexplainable and desperately something we want to get rid of.
Causes for lower back pain are so widespread that most of the time it goes undiagnosed. The next best solution is simply to pop a pain tablet and forget about it until the pain tablet wears down again.
Reality is lower back pain goes undiagnosed because the causes differ greatly. Weak core muscles, bad night sleep, lifting a shopping bag incorrectly , years of degeneration associated with ageing, always carrying baby on the left side, a fall you didn’t think much of at the time, sitting through a 4 hour board exam… the list goes on.
Lower back pain can hit any of us at any stage in our lives. What matters is that we take note and not ignore it through a pain tablet. Pain tablets are there to assist the recovery and rehabilitation process; not replace it.
Basic and simple changes to our behaviours and daily decisions can make a huge difference in how we manage and ultimately prevent lower back pain… and live a life so much less debilitated.
