Food is a massive part of our lives. It forms a part of our everyday existence, the way we meet with people, enjoy family gatherings, and think about our bodies and ultimately our health.

Trying to following the daily news of what is happening in the world of nutrition science will require a 10 minute read every 2 hours… who has the time and grit for that? In reality, it is the basic choices we make on a daily basis and understanding what those choices are that makes the huge difference in the long run.

As we continue to navigate through a global pandemic, the same type of questions keep coming up – how do I deal with my non-communicable disease like diabetes and high blood pressure? Exercise plays a critical role, but so does diet.

The right food promotes the adaptation and recovery process from exercise – making it the perfect combination.

And as we think of our athletes, those who are healthy but need an extra edge, good food at the right time promotes performance, recovery and health.

As food makes its constant entry into our lives every hour or so, the ultimate goal and focus point is health! We want to be healthy, enjoy food for what it is, not have a negative mind set towards and make choices that are considered and beneficial for the long term.
