The Institute of Fitness Professionals (FitPro) is an Accredited Education and Training Provider with CATHSSETA.
In collaboration with our SDF partner, Damaria Consulting, FitPro hosted an Internship program for 2 learners in 2019. The program was an all-round success with both Interns being formally employed immediately post-program.
In 2022, FitPro proudly hosted a total of 10 Interns. Although 2 terminated, the remaining 8 completed a successful Internship process. 2 of the Interns have received immediate employment.
FitPro is proud to indicate that 2 Interns (1 from each program) has become a full-time employee at FitPro, Bryanston.
The remaining 6 who unfortunately did not receive immediate employment has only been attributed to the lack of financial commitment from employers because of the current economic climate. The quality of the Interns and their desire to be employed was not doubted or questionable. Each Intern received a letter of recommendation, and we believe opportunities will present themselves.
FitPro would like to take this opportunity to thank CATHSSETA and the Discretionary Funding granted to the Interns. As we are dedicated to the continual upliftment of South African communities and to address high unemployment rates. This focus and pro-active engagement have only been made possible by the support granted by CATHSSETA.
We continue to support the mandate and responsibility of CATHSSETA to South Africa and the Sector; and look forward to fruitful opportunities in the future.
