Floor Instructor full time is your entry into the fitness working space. Hosted in the beautiful country of Namibia by Ulla Finkeldey.
The full time Fitness Instructor certificate qualifies you to work on the floor in a gym or wellness space. Hereafter, you can spread your wings into a variety of other options.
All persons who are 18 years and older can register for this certification; so we really look forward to having you!
What is a Fitness Instructor?
A Fitness Instructor is a floor instructor or floor assistant in a gym, health or wellness facility. It is their job to assist clients on equipment and explain the different types of exercise offerings available in the facility. Therefore the Fitness Instructor is there to directly help clients inside a gym.
Many Personal Fitness Trainers begin their journey in the fitness industry as a fitness instructor. Therefore, we highly recommend this certification. It is a starting point for employment and makes sure clients get to know you.

REPSSA is a non-profit, independent public register which recognises the qualifications and expertise of fitness professionals in South Africa. One of our key functions is to provide a system of regulations for instructions and trainers to ensure that they meet the international health and fitness industry’s standards. REPSSA is affiliated with various ICREPS organisations worldwide, including but not limited to REPSUK and REPSEurope. The Institute of Fitness Professionals is affiliated as a recognised provider of education for those seeking to join the health and wellness industry and those already employed in the sector.
CATHSSETA, the Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Education and Training Authority, is the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) established under the Skills Development Act (No 97 of 1998)(the Skills Act) for the Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Economic Sector.
